The Quick Sock

Pattern: "H" Sock Yarn: Dream in Color Classy in Deep Seaflower Needles: KnitPicks size4 40"circ Cast on: July 10 Bind off: July 16 These socks were so quick that the author decided to give it only one letter! Yes, these socks only took me six days, and I wasn't knitting from morning to night. I hold a demanding job, a full family and I managed to knit these socks in the evenings and one weekend away from the construction on the house. I have made many things from Dream in Color and I have yet to be disappointed. I LOVE this yarn. The pattern is a series of knits and purls, easy memorization, and just a plain "quick knit". The pattern is in the book 2-at-a-time SOCKS which I bought for the patterns and not for the technique.

Socks are for Moms birthday later this month. She loves the color because it is so close to the colorings of the Northern Lights. As soon as Inua has more, I will buy a few more skeins. Both in the Deep Seaflower and Happy Forest.

Gorgeous colorway! I love Dream in Color. I'm making a child's sweater out of the Classy currently. Gothic Rose. I also love the Northern Lights! I've seen them twice in my life, once in Ohio, if you can believe that, and once in Maine, where I live. One of my greatest wishes is to go to Alaska to see the Lights, among other things!

I have seen the Northern Lights twice as well. The first time was in Fairbanks, AK, they were emerald green and looked like a silk scarf blowing in the breeze (they also encompassed the entire sky).

The second time was in Maine. There they were a non-descript color, and seemed to rippling in fast forward.

These are soooooo cute! I love the colorway (who doesn't love Dic?) and the pattern is fab. Is it the "Twilight" pattern? I must add these to my must-dos for the rest of my summer. :)

By the way, don't get into spinning. It's dangerous. :p I just ordered my first wheel and I'm so excited! Anyhoo, thanks for the sweet comments about my newly spun craziness. And thanks for sharing your beautiful socks - which I must cast on soon!
