These socks were so quick that the author decided to give it only one letter! Yes, these socks only took me six days, and I wasn't knitting from morning to night. I hold a demanding job, a full family and I managed to knit these socks in the evenings and one weekend away from the construction on the house.
I have made many things from Dream in Color and I have yet to be disappointed. I LOVE this yarn. The pattern is a series of knits and purls, easy memorization, and just a plain "quick knit". The pattern is in the book 2-at-a-time SOCKS which I bought for the patterns and not for the technique.
Socks are for Moms birthday later this month. She loves the color because it is so close to the colorings of the Northern Lights. As soon as Inua has more, I will buy a few more skeins. Both in the Deep Seaflower and Happy Forest.

Gorgeous colorway! I love Dream in Color. I'm making a child's sweater out of the Classy currently. Gothic Rose. I also love the Northern Lights! I've seen them twice in my life, once in Ohio, if you can believe that, and once in Maine, where I live. One of my greatest wishes is to go to Alaska to see the Lights, among other things!
I love Dream in Color; it's so soft and luscious and the colors are just so comforting. Those are really awesome H-Socks!
Love. those. socks. Perfect blend of interesting pattern and practical sock. Nice description of the colorway. How did I miss the dream in color at Inua? AARGH.
You just cannot go wrong with Dream in Color. Those are great socks! I have this colorway in my stash and now I really want to pull it out and use it. Your mom should love them.
i have decided that after suyou to show me how to knit socks.
thats just way too fast. i could find a use for all my bits left over from sweaters etc.
I have seen the Northern Lights twice as well. The first time was in Fairbanks, AK, they were emerald green and looked like a silk scarf blowing in the breeze (they also encompassed the entire sky).
The second time was in Maine. There they were a non-descript color, and seemed to rippling in fast forward.
Ooo, I have that colorway in the Smooshy and I love the way it looks knit up! Nicely done!
These are soooooo cute! I love the colorway (who doesn't love Dic?) and the pattern is fab. Is it the "Twilight" pattern? I must add these to my must-dos for the rest of my summer. :)
By the way, don't get into spinning. It's dangerous. :p I just ordered my first wheel and I'm so excited! Anyhoo, thanks for the sweet comments about my newly spun craziness. And thanks for sharing your beautiful socks - which I must cast on soon!
Oh - I'm slow. :) I see now that it really is called the "H" sock. :D Nevermind.
